The Committee
President - Chief Constable Chris Todd

I have spent over 30 years in policing, with the privilege of serving across several Forces and countries, including work with the NCA. One of my proudest sporting moments was representing the Hong Kong Police at the 1995 Police & Fire World Games in Melbourne, playing football. We lost every game, but had a fantastic time doing so.
After my football days, I stayed active through running, completing several road and trail half marathons. I was also a keen sailor and took part in the annual NCA Regatta in Cowes. On one occasion, I was thrown in as a last‑minute navigator when ours fell ill and somehow came away with the “Best Newcomer” award.
I enjoy hill walking and, during what has since been described as a mid‑life crisis, tackled Mount Kilimanjaro in 2018. These days, you’ll most often find me out walking with the dogs and keeping an eye out for my next outdoor challenge.
Chairman - Assistant Chief Constable Mike Walker

I have been a Police Officer for 23 years. The majority of my time was spent in North Yorkshire and I have been in Humberside for 2 years now.
In 2025 I was privileged to become the Chair of the Sports and Social Club committee. Sports and fitness have always been a large part of my life. I sit on the board of directors for PSUK and I have personally played a variety of sports including rugby, football and cricket and whilst I have never been great at any sport, I have loved the social element of team sports, the relative peace and solitude of my gym, and importantly its helped me keep physically and mentally fit.
As we look ahead, our goal for the Sports and Social Club committee is to keep growing, innovating, and ensuring that every member feels welcome and valued. So, explore the site, get involved, and most importantly—join up and enjoy everything the club has to offer.
Vice Chairman – Hollie Harris

I have worked for Humberside Police for 19 years, and currently work as SGT in the Community Safety Unit based at Pearson Park, Hull. I have been a sports club member for 19 years and I have been Vice Chairman of this committee since the amalgamation of all the North Bank Sports Clubs. Prior to this I was the Chairman of the C Division Sports and Social Club. I have campaigned to change previous constitutions rules changing the North Bank Sports and Social Club to the North and South Bank Sports and Social club allowing South Bank colleagues to benefit.
I have resurrected All Humberside PSUK sporting sections barring 3 or 4 sections which continued to run, setting up WhatsApp groups and updating spond groups with up-and-coming events, locally and nationally. I have recently set up new non PSUK sections within the force at the request of our members. Having held a successful Northern Tournament for Women’s Rounders I worked tirelessly to get Ladies Rounders successfully recognised nationally as a PSUK sport and meaning I have a seat at the PSUK AGM. Off the back of my work in 2023 I was awarded the National PSUK “Oscar Kilo Wellbeing Award”. In November 2024 I was awarded a Wellbeing award at the force excellence awards for my services to the police sports clubs. Outside of the police I have many years of experience organising and running charity events being an active member of committees both nationally and locally and have chaired a committee responsible for organising events for between six and eight thousand patrons. I actively recruit new members to the club and meet with new recruits to showcase what the club has to offer, I am passionate about the club, and I know what force sport has meant to me over the years competing in the Equestrian Team, Ladies Rounders, Ladies Football, and Mixed Hockey giving me a great sense of pride to represent my force. I know that the more you put in, the more you get out, so I encourage colleagues to take part and feel a part of the bigger Humberside Police Family, it’s not just about the fitness element, but it is about having fun and making friends across the force and this is what I would like to campaign and roll out to more colleagues. I am a serving member of staff and therefore I am always approachable and available to answer queries and give advice and guidance be it at work or outside of work.
Secretary – Andrea Cowey

I have been a Police Officer for 23 years. The majority of my time was spent in North Yorkshire and I have been in Humberside for 2 years now.
I am currently the Secretary of the Humberside Police Sports & Social Club and have been a member of the Club (in it’s various formats) since 1995 .
I work within the Major Crime Team as an Exhibits/Disclosure Officer, having retired as an officer in April 2025 after 30 years service.
I am a passionate equestrian and alongside PS Hollie HARRIS founded the Force Equestrian section several years ago. I am the Chair of the section and compete yearly at the PSUK Equestrian Nationals representing Humberside Police.
I am passionate about The Club, for both the sport and social elements and the camaraderie that it brings amongst colleagues. I would like to resurrect some of the trips and events, as well as generating some new ones (suggestions are always welcome!)
Treasurer– Isobel Hedges

I have been the Treasurer of the Humberside Police Sports & Social Club since April 2024 and am an active member of the Police Ladies Rounders Team and Netball Team. On a day-to-day basis I am a Confiscator based in the Asset Recovery Investigation Unit at Clough Road Police Station.
Since becoming the Treasurer I have enhanced the audit functions within the Club, bringing us in line with modern accountancy and bookkeeping practices. My main focus is to ensure the financial viability of the Club, managing our cash flow and making sure that year-on-year we continue to grow so that we can give the most back to our members.
Assistant Treasurer - Mark Bishop

Formerly of Hampshire Constabulary, I transferred to Humberside Police in 1997 with 5 years’ service and was posted to Bransholme as PC 1577. All those years ago the structure of the Sports and Social Clubs across the Force was very different but their aims and ambitions were the same as they are today; To support the wellbeing of staff through sporting and social activities. So, since joining as a member of my local Hull East branch in 1997 I have been to be a strong supporter of the services and functions provided by the club, latterly serving as a committee member and President up to my retirement as a Chief Inspector in 2022.
Maintaining my membership of the club since retirement has enabled me to continue to see the club change and grow and at the last AGM I was pleased to be asked to support the committee in the role of Assistant Treasurer. Through a long association with the club, and my work across uniform roles in all Divisions and Branches, I’ve gained a huge amount of knowledge about the Force and how the Club facilitates sporting and social activities for the benefit of all its members. It has a crucial role in the organisation, and I look forward to continuing to support its future.
Assistant Secretary - Carl Horth

I’m Carl Horth and I have been running Humberside’s Athletics section alongside my colleague Andy Guest for the last 10 years. The Sports and Social Club has played an integral part in ensuring that our annual Northern Police Cross Country League fixture in Humberside is subsidised annually, and over the last few years we have steadily built up a solid group of runners who represent Humberside at local and national events.
We are always looking to welcome new runners into the fold and anyone is welcome to join! I have been Assistant Secretary for the Sports and Social Club for the last 12 months and value my place on the committee as it provides an opportunity to listen to others share their views about how to take the club forward, and also offers me the opportunity to put my views forward too.
Phil Snowden

I worked for Humberside Police for 30 years retiring from the force in 2016. I have been a member of the Force Sports and Social Club since joining in 1986 and remain a fully paid up associate member of the club. I have represented Humberside police at PSUK level in football and golf and was captain of the force team in 1991 when Humberside were league champions, the only time this has been achieved. I am very much a team player and fully aware of the importance of sport and team working together for the benefit of all, I have always of the opinion that the organisation needs a sports and social club and that was my personal motivation in the last 15 years as the local sports clubs fell aside, with the exception of Hessle and Hull West, and I am proud of the fact that we have been able to maintain a club which seems to still be moving forward. My focus is to continue to improve the standing of the club for the benefit of all.

HR - VACANT

VACANT
Superintendents Association - Paul French

I have had the privilege of working across three police forces throughout my 20 year career and have seen firsthand the positive impact that Police Sports and Social Clubs can have on officer wellbeing. I firmly believe the primary purpose as a senior leader in policing it to work for our people and not the other way around, and I work hard to understand the challenges facing our people and unblocking any obstacles or challenges being experienced, while also ensuring we are providing the best possible support and opportunities for increased wellbeing through our own engaged proactive leadership. I am therefore proud to be part of the Sports and Social Club committee.
As someone who historically has struggled with striking the balance in my own personal work life balance, I have come to understand the importance of spending time undertaking sports and social activities, alongside friends and family, but also the importance that policing is so much more than a job, with the term policing family going far beyond day to day working activity.
Along with my wife Kelly, and my two boys, Theo and George, we love spending time outside of work with friends and family, travelling, both on holidays and on family days out, and also family swimming together. Anyone who knows me, knows I loves hunting for a good bargain and so really excited in the wider opportunities our Sports and Social Club can bring for us all here across the Humberside Police family!
In terms of sports, I am a Formula 1 Fan – having watched my first season in 1992 and when possible, I really enjoy watching motorsport live and taking part in the occasional recreational karting competition.
