This section has produced Champions at all levels and currently has reigning champions.

Competitors compete at an Inter-force championship at both Singles and Doubles. (This takes place yearly at a local snooker club within the Humberside Region)

Winners of these events then represent Humberside Police at Regional Level against all Northern forces ( Humberside, North, West and South Yorkshire, Cleveland, Northumberland and Durham). This takes place at a central point to all forces, mainly within the Yorkshire region.

If successful at this level it then allows the go to compete in the British National Championships once a year. (This includes all qualifiers from all English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland forces). This has been moved around the country over several years.

All winners at the national level then go on to represent the British National Team and play at International Level against other countries and other government agencies in challenge matches. Location, times, and dates depend upon organised fixtures throughout the year if success has been achieved at previous levels.

The Snooker section has seen players compete at World Professional level outside of Policing, competing against the world’s elite on Television channels worldwide and achieving success at that level too.

In 2024 James Curtis from Grimsby also achieved PSUK Sports personality of the year awards for all his achievements in snooker both in and outside the policing world.
